The CFPC Dispatch: Issue 2
October 2023
Stay in the Loop
Thanks for checking out this brief October Dispatch! We have some fun things coming up over the next few months. Read about some of them below, and stay up to date at centralflorida.photo or the CFPC Instagram page.
Here’s the Latest
Our most recent meetup was at the Rollins Museum of Art in Winter Park. Thank you so much to everyone who showed up and dealt with the surprise rain shower. Check out this gallery with some shots shared by a few of the people who came out!

Do you ever print your work?
Whether it’s in a professional darkroom or with the inkjet sitting on the dresser in your bedroom, printing your photos can be very rewarding. In the digital age, most of us have grown accustomed to viewing our images on small screens. An unfortunate fact for online photographers is that much of our work is rarely viewed outside the context of an Instagram feed. This is suboptimal to say the least.
If you have been waiting for an excuse to print your work, you’re in luck. We are doing another print swap this year. It’s a fun way to share your work and also receive a cool piece of art for yourself.
Sign up by 11/30/2023 to participate.
What Comes Next
November 5, 2023 - Bonnet Springs Park, Lakeland, FL
Join us on Sunday, November 5, at Bonnet Springs Park for a family friendly meetup and photowalk. If you have little photographers in your life, feel free to bring them along.
We’ll meet on the Family Lawn at 10:00AM. There will be a photography scavenger hunt and a giveaway for participants. Look out for an announcement with more details soon!
Bonnet Springs Park is open to the public and free to enter. Check out their website for additional info, a map, and park rules.
November 30, 2023 - Print Swap
You must be signed up on Elfster by 11/30/2023 to participate! Names will be drawn on 12/01/2023.
A print swap functions like a Secret Santa gift exchange for photographers, but instead of traditional gifts, participants exchange a print of their own work.
This event is open to anyone! Please note, by signing up you are agreeing to arrange the printing and mailing of one of your own photographs (of your choice) to another randomly selected participant.
